Contact information — your name, mobile phone number and, if you give it to us, your email address. Collected when you place an order at our yard, call us, or submit a request on this website.
Delivery information — the job site address, the materials ordered, and delivery notes.
Proof of delivery — photographs of the delivered materials at the job site and, where the customer is present, a signature confirming receipt. This is kept as the record of the delivery.
Website information — standard technical data such as pages visited, collected by our hosting provider.

3. How we use it

To process, schedule and complete your material order and delivery.
To send you text messages about the status of your order (see section 4).
To respond to your questions, quotes and service requests.
To keep a record of what was delivered, when, and to whom, in case of a dispute.
To ask, on a one-time basis, about your experience after a completed delivery.

4. Text messaging (SMS) and your mobile number

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

When you give us your mobile number, you consent to receive automated text messages from Golden Valley Materials about your order, its delivery, and your service experience. Message frequency varies by transaction. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not affect your ability to buy from us or receive deliveries.

5. We do not sell your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not buy phone number lists. Every number we message is a number a customer gave us directly.

6. Service providers

We share information only with the vendors that make our service work, and only with what they need:

Twilio — delivers our text messages.
Our hosting and database providers — store this website, delivery records and photographs on servers in the United States.

These providers are bound to use the information only to provide their service to us. They may not use it for their own marketing.

7. How long we keep it

Delivery records, photographs and signatures are kept for four (4) years from the date of delivery, which matches the period during which a claim about a delivery could be brought in California. Contact information is kept while you remain a customer.

8. Your California privacy rights

California residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information, and may ask us to tell them what we have collected. 9. Security

Access to delivery records and customer information is restricted to authorized Golden Valley Materials personnel through individual credentials. Data is stored on servers in the United States.
